NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY

Neuromuscular Therapy differs from other forms of deep tissue massage in many ways. Neuromuscular Therapy deals with points of hyper irritability called "trigger points". These points create an autonomic response when activated this usually means referred pain or some other sensation somewhere else in the body. By releasing these trigger points one can effectively ease pain patterns in the body. Neuromuscular Therapy treats things like; chronic pain, sciatica, rotator cuff dysfunction, carpel tunnel syndrome, temporomandibular joint dysfunction or TMJ,  Migraines and much more. Neuromuscular Therapy is also used to locate and release spasms and hyper contractions in the tissue. It aids the healing process for injured tissue, assists in venous and lymphatic flow, restores postural alignment, and gives flexibility to the tissues. Neuromuscular Therapy also addresses Myofascial Pain, by using slow elongation and stretching strokes. Neuromuscular Therapy releases the myofascial tissue, promoting oxygenation and delivery of vital nutrients to the muscle cells.

DEEP TISSUE INTEGRATIVE MASSAGE

This style focuses on releasing long held restrictive patterns in the body to re-educate the client on how to move. Providing the client with a body that is more fluid and flexible, this makes the body stronger and more resistant to injury. In this work using touch, stretches, and exercises the body is guided back into alignment. The process takes anywhere between 8 to 12 sessions each session lasting 1 1/2 hours. While each session is unique it builds on the previous session and will require the participation of the client in between sessions. During the sessions we will incorporate many different styles of massage to attain the desired results; every thing from Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Myofascial Release and many more. The client will be given "homework" to do including stretches and exercises. The treatment helps to relieve stress and pain but to also help improve the performance of daily activities. Other benefits of deep tissue structural integration include improved appearance and alignment of the body, enhanced physical performance, improved mental functioning and increased physiological efficiency.

CRANIAL-SACRAL THERAPY

Cranial-Sacral Therapy or CST is a non-invasive therapy where I diagnose and treat imbalances in the flow of cerebral spinal fluid. These treatments have been known to treat a number of ailments. The client lies face up on the table dressed for comfort while I move around the head, spine and body, releasing restrictions in the flow. Using a light touch of no more than the weight of a nickle I "listen" in on the cranial sacral pulse looking for imbalances.  The results from the treatment are so varied from deep viceral and tissue release to energetic and emotional blockages relieved. It never ceases to amaze me the subtlety and power of this therapy. Conditions treated range from sinus pressure relief to the treatment of learning disabilities and restoring optimum functioning of the central nervous system.

ACUPRESSURE

Acupressure employs theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine that have been practiced for thousands of years in many places around the world. Acupoints are points in the body along meridian lines that have a low electrical resistance. Manipulation of these points can bring about correction from many imbalances. Physical imbalances like headaches, muscles aches, frozen shoulders and much more. Mental imbalances like trouble concentrating or making decisions.  It can also be used to ease emotional transition. This practice has been around for 4,000 years. Acupressure returns the body back to health using the bodies own innate abilities. In my studies I have noticed that most common trigger points are in the same place as acupressure points. This style is a very effective complementary treatment for both physical and energetic techniques or used all by itself.

REIKI Master/Teacher

Reiki is a system of enlightenment and a hands on healing technique where the universal life force or universal energy is transferred from the practitioner to the client via a laying on of hands. William has his Reiki Ill Master Teacher attunement which means he has acquired a level of Reiki that allows him to channel greater amounts of the universal energy field to alleviate pain and dis-ease, not only of the body but of the mind and heart as well.  He is also able to pass Reiki attunements to others making it possible for you to become a Reiki practitioner as well. This technique can be used to induce healing or quicken it on physical, emotional and mental levels, giving relief from harmful side effects of pharmaceuticals, deep relaxation, relief from mental and/or emotional stress. Reiki also provides the space for a deep meditative state that can allow for unification with your highest self.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

Lymphatic drainage massage is a profound technique to help increase lymph flow. With an increase of lymph flow, immune function is increased. Harmful substances are removed from the tissues and neutralized in the lymph nodes. It has also been shown that an increase in lymph flow stimulates an increased production of lymphocytes- enhancing immune function. Lymphatic drainage can be applied to clients who are suffering from a lack of energy, or a sluggish immune system.
Lymphatic drainage can help with a wide variety of pain and inflammatory conditions including; migraines, sinus congestion, sports injuries, scars, post mastectomy edema, and help neutralize pain associated with trigger points for those affected by Fibromyalgia.
